Bertrand Massé – Sculptor
Bertrand Massé integrates artistic techniques with woodworking to create unique and diversified works.
During his youth, Bertrand was trained as a cabinetmaker and fell in love with wood. Now retired, he reveals his artistic sense by working with wood while integrating various materials that bring out the coldness of metals with the warmth of nature.
Wood is at the heart of Bertrand's creations. Knowing well the characteristics of each species of wood, he chooses the ideal specimens for each of his works. His work advocates the recovery of pieces of wood found on his way while respecting this natural product. It is in the imperfection of a log or in the malformation of a tree trunk that he finds the artistic inspiration to give birth to his creations.
Bertrand Massé exhibits his work in several art galleries. You will find his creations in a gallery in Old Quebec, on Orleans Island, in La Malbaie and in Montreal.
